Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Welcome to SyntaxQuest, developed by TwoElectrons. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect the information of users of our platform. By using SyntaxQuest, you agree to the terms described in this document.

1. Who We Are

SyntaxQuest is an AI assistant specialized in game development, built and operated by TwoElectrons. You can contact us through twoelectrons.com.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (used for authentication and service communications)
  • Display name (optional, set by you)
  • Password (stored in encrypted form via secure hashing β€” never in plain text)
  • Subscription plan (Free or Power Mode)

2.2 Usage Data and Conversations

To enable the smart history feature, we store:

  • Messages sent and AI responses associated with your account
  • Session metadata (creation date, title, selected engine, model version)
  • Configuration preferences (visual theme, language, custom system prompt)

2.3 Integration Data

If you choose to connect a repository via GitHub:

  • We store the OAuth access token temporarily to read the repository during the conversation
  • We do not persistently store your repository source code in our databases

2.4 Payment Data

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. SyntaxQuest does not store credit card data. Only the Stripe customer identifier (stripe_customer_id) and subscription status are stored by us.

3. How We Do NOT Use Your Data

Our most important commitment:

  • We do not train AI models with the content of your conversations, source code, or uploaded files.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your files or repositories for any purpose other than generating the response in the conversation where they were submitted.
  • We do not store images, ZIP files, or code submitted in conversations after the response has been processed.

4. Third-Party Sharing

SyntaxQuest uses the following third-party services to operate:

Service Purpose
Google Gemma 4 (API) AI response generation on the Free plan
Anthropic Claude (API) AI response generation on Power Mode
Supabase Database, authentication, and session storage
Stripe Payment processing and subscription management
GitHub / GitLab (OAuth) Reading repositories as conversation context

All these services have their own privacy policies. Messages are transmitted to AI APIs only during processing and are not retained by these providers for training, except where an explicit usage agreement applies with that provider.

5. Storage and Security

  • All data is stored in secure infrastructure provided by Supabase, with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS).
  • Passwords are stored using secure hashing algorithms and can never be recovered in plain text.
  • OAuth integration tokens are stored with additional encryption at the application layer.
  • We conduct periodic security reviews of database access permissions.

6. Data Retention

  • Conversations and history: Retained while your account is active. You can delete individual conversations or your entire history at any time from the Profile screen.
  • Account data: Retained until you request account deletion.
  • Payment data (Stripe): Retained as required by tax and legal obligations (typically 7 years).

7. Your Rights (LGPD and GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you via JSON export in the Profile screen
  • Correct incorrect information directly in the Profile screen
  • Data portability (via JSON export)
  • Deletion of your account and all associated data via the "Delete account" button in the Profile screen
  • Withdraw consent for integrations (by disconnecting GitHub in settings)

To request manual access, correction, or deletion, contact us at twoelectrons.com.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

SyntaxQuest uses:

  • localStorage to store language preferences, visual theme, and local convenience data such as the active engine/version and recent session or repository context
  • We do not use tracking or third-party advertising cookies

9. Minors

SyntaxQuest is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not intentionally collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us so we can remove it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The last updated date is always shown at the top of the document. In the event of significant changes, we will notify users by email or via an in-platform notice.
